Five Rules to Live by: Ayurvedic Habits

Get started on the road to excellent mental and physical health by adopting these five habits.

  • Eat small meals 3 times a day. Avoid unnecessary snacks and social eating.
  • Eat at a fixed time every day. Give yourself at least 3-4 hours between your last meal and bedtime, to allow time for digestion before sleep.
  • Eat seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Don't lean too heavily on one type of food (all spicy, all sweet, etc).
  • Follow the “Rule of Thirds”: Always fill one third of the stomach with food, one third with water, and keep one third empty.
