Licorice Peppermint Iced Tea Breezy

Licorice is known as the great harmonizer in Chinese medicine and mint is an excellent relaxant and cools you off in summer. Calm down and chill out with this healthy, delicious tea.

Both of these aromatic herbs have been used for centuries for their medicinal properties. Licorice supports the adrenal glands and helps to block the production of cortisol. Cortisol is commonly referred to as 'the stress hormone'. Peppermint is an excellent source of manganese, vitamin C and vitamin A.

Make a pitcher of this tea and drink a glass daily for 5 days.

Ingredients:
- 7 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon dried licorice root
- 1 cup chopped fresh peppermint
- honey

Directions:
Fill a pot with the water. Stir in dried licorice root. Bring to a boil. Add peppermint leaves. Steep for 10 minutes. Add honey to taste. Strain and refrigerate until chilled. Pour over ice and enjoy.
