Cleaners

is it true that many common and trusted household cleaners are actually toxic? what should we watch out for?

According to a stat I ran across online, the interiors of our homes are 2-5 times more polluted than the air outside -- mainly due to our use of toxic household chemicals. The best cleaning chemicals are the ones our moms and grandmas used: baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, borax and soap. A good scrubbing sponge and some elbow grease will get rid of things even the most caustic cleansers can't. Best of all, these "green" cleaners are cheaper than the toxic alternatives!

baking soda is the greatest thing ever for cleaning toilets, sinks, etc. I noted the veria recipe above and am definitely going to try it. One key plus about using the trustworthy simple ingredients above is the low cost also...

Speaking of baking soda, you know there was an actual guy named Armand Hammer? Big communist, as you might guess, and some interesting connections to Al Gore, too. I'm not kidding.

Barnabus, you just can't leave it "and some connections to Al Gore." I want to hear the whole story now!

I don't use those nasty cleaners in my house. I've tried making my own concoctions but invariably I don't quite get the results I'm looking for. I came across a company that makes household cleaners using all those wonderful natural ingredients and they work great. Best thing, they're less expensive than all the GREEN cleaning products out there....and they beat Walmart prices. Contact me if you want to know about them.

this sounds like shilling for another company, especially since you don't say the name of the company in your post...

It's really simple and cost-effective to make your own cleaners using vinegar, baking soda, essential oils, etc. You can look up an all natural easy to make recipe for just about anything (glass cleaner, toothpaste, shampoo, lipstick, anything!) just using Google now, it's great! I certainly believe that most conventional/industrial products are toxic- that chemical smell can't be good for you!
