The Paula Deen lawsuit also describes an incident in which Lisa Jackson was recruited to help prepare for the wedding of Bubba Heir.

Paula Deen Alleged Racist Statement
The statement of claim in the lawsuit says " When Ms. Jackson asked Ms. Deen what look the wedding should have, Ms. Deen replied 'I want a true southern plantation-style wedding." Asked by Ms. Jackson what type of uniforms she preferred servrs to wear, Paula Deen stated, 'Well what I would really like is a bunch of little n*****s to wear long sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties, you know in the Shirley Tempnle days, they used to tap dance around.' Paula Deen laughed and said 'now that would be a true southern wedding, wouldn't it? But we can't do that because the media would be on me about that."

The lawsuit goes on to claim that African-American employees were required to use the back entrance of the restaurant and not front entrance and they were not allowed to used customer restrooms while the White Staff were allowed to use the customer bathroom..

The Daily Report quotes a lawyer Paula Deen who dismmess the allegations made in the lawsuit.

Savannah based lawyer Greg Hodges is quoted as saying  "Now, she claims she was mistreated during her employment,” Hodges said. “We investigated those claims and attempted unsuccessfully to address those claims with her. She made, prior to filing the lawsuit, baseless and inflammatory allegations threatening Ms. Deen's reputation and the reputation of her businesses unless a sum of money was paid to her.“We did not pay that money. Her allegations are false, and we look forward to our day in court,” Hodges added"

Puala Deen has been in the news lately more for what she has been saying and doing, than what she has been cooking. Deen came under fire for not reporting her Type 2 Diabetes while promoting a high fat, high calorie diet.
