I have been diagosed with RA. The pain that affects me the most is in my feet and my right hand. It is hard for me to wear most shoes because I feel like I'm walking on the ground. Most of the time I stay in a pair of gym shoes that I've add additional support to, and that tends to help. On my right hand the fingers tend to maintain swelling. I haven't been able to reduce the swelling in that hand. I am now taking a medication that they put me on to help suppress the immune system. I've been taking it for a week and they say it will take at least two weeks before I can see any effects from the medication. That doesn't help with the pain that I'm feeling now. I also take Aleeve twice a day. I am not a big fan of taking medication. Please tell me if there is some alternative solution to my health problems. I also have acid reflux, and I try not to take medication for it. Please help. Thanks.
