Holistic Approach: Maximum Hydration

In summer heat we sweat. When the temperature is high enough and the humidity intense enough to cause perspiration, it's important to take extra steps to stay hydrated. Staying hydrated is the easiest way to keep your body healthy and happy, in summer or any season. Excessive perspiration results in dehydration, which can in turn cause dry mouth, indigestion, muscle cramps, fatigue, headaches and heat stroke. Making sure to meet your daily quota of water intake will not only rejuvenate your body, but will also aid in the removal of toxins. Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day, throughout the day, or try water therapy, a method of hydrating the body at the very start of the day.
Directions:
Immediately after waking and before brushing your teeth, drink five glasses of water. Brush thereafter, but do not eat or drink for another hour.
Note: you may start by drinking two glasses per day, and gradually increase to five glasses.
