We all know meditation relaxes both body and mind, but it can be hard to find the time to do it. One easy, refreshing way to make meditation part of your daily routine is to practice it in the shower. First, try to empty your mind of any distracting thoughts. Next, step under the water, close your eyes and concentrate on the feeling of the spray on the top of your head and on your skin. Listen closely to the sound of the flowing water. Breathe gently and deeply. Maintain this meditative state for 5 minutes, keeping your eyes closed and focusing on sensation and sound. Slowly open your eyes and take one last deep breath to restore your balance before continuing with your shower. You’ll emerge relaxed, refreshed and ready to start your day.
