In the Teapot: Warm Lemon and Cinnamon Tea

We all associate lemons with summer: think lemonade and lemon ices, summertime staples most of us remember from our childhoods. But in low-temperature climates we recommend sticking with warm lemon teas that will soothe your mood, banish stress, and help you to unwind at the end of the day (before you call it a night). Try a cup of lemon tea garnished with cinnamon sticks for a bit of added spice. Stir the tea with a cinnamon stick to release the cinnamon's essential oil, which has powerful antioxidant properties. Add a cube of ice to a too-hot tea to cool it to an easy-to-drink lukewarm temperature. Have a cup at night before heading to bed and you'll enjoy an easy, deep sleep.
