Moringa Oleifera root was first introduced to me several years ago during my quest to live more healthy. I was surprised to find out that this herb packed far more benefits then most of the supplements I was using combined.
For centuries indigenous people in northern India and parts of Africa have known the many benefits of Moringa Oleifera root, which comes from the Moringa tree. Often classified as a “miracle plant” due to its wide range of nutritional and medicinal properties, the Moringa leaves are usually infused in tea and are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids. The tea is used for preventive measures and many have used it to treat chronic illnesses and diseases.
Most food sources can’t compare to the higher levels of nutrients found in moringa oleifera. It is commonly consumed as tea, but you can also find this exceptional wonder in capsule, seeds, powder, and oil form. Be sure to purchase an organic vegetarian version to make sure it’s 100% free from any pesticides or chemicals. The Moringa leaf contains some of the following properties to name a few:
- 3 times the potassium in bananas
- 7 times the vitamin C in oranges
- 4 times the calcium in milk
- 4 times the vitamin A in carrots
- 2 times the protein in milk
- 13 times more vitamin A than spinach
- 2,500 times more amino acids than green tea
- 242 times more amino acids than an apple
- 3 times the potassium found in bananas
- 3 times the iron found in almonds
- 47 Anti-oxidants
- 36 anti-inflammatories
- 25 Multi-vitamins
- 30% Protein
- 4 times the fiber of Oats
