Q:
How do I encourage my baby to try new foods?
A:
Babies are so unique - some readily dive into new flavors and textures, others balk at the smallest changes. First, be patient and persistent. Babies need variety in their diets just like adults. The first time you try a new food may not be a success but don't give up. Sometimes baby will take to a new food after the third or fourth try. You might try mixing flavors together - a favorite food with a small amount of a new one - to introduce foods gradually. Try to do one new food at a time, though, so that you can watch for any food allergies or sensitivities.
