Q:

When will I know my child is old enough to bring to see a movie in a movie theatre? (And what age is too young?)

A:

Children under the age of 4 may lack the attention span for a full length movie, plus the movie house experience of a big screen and loud volume may be daunting.  You will have to judge your child's concentration, interest, and sensitivity to decide what is right.  Be sure to read not only ratings but reviews of movies to ensure that the content is appropriate for your child.  And pack your own snacks!  Movie theaters generally do not have healthy food options, so bring along finger foods and snacks for the trip!
