Crazy Easy Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is a traditional part of winter holiday meals, but cranberries are too good—and too good for you—to reserve for special occasions. Plan on making this side dish a winter menu regular.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon kuzu (a thickening powder; available in natural foods and Asian grocery stores and online)
3 tablespoons cold water
10 ounce bag frozen organic cranberries
2 cups filtered water
2 droppers lemon stevia liquid
2 tablespoons light agave nectar

Stir kuzu into 3 tablespoons of cold water until dissolved. Set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer on medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 10 to 12 minutes. When cranberries are soft, add kuzu mixture. Stir until sauce starts to thicken.
