Brussels Sprouts with Honey Mustard Glaze

Shaped like tiny cabbages, Brussels sprouts make an appealing dinner time presentation, especially when served with this quick sweet and spicy glaze.

1 pound Brussels sprouts
1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons stone-ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Trim outside leaves from Brussels sprouts and cut a 1/4-inch-deep X in the bottom of each. Cook in boiling salted water until they are fork tender, about 10 minutes. Drain, and drop sprouts into an ice bath to stop cooking. Cut each sprout in half.

Heat honey and mustard in a large skillet. Add well-drained, cooked Brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Cook over medium heat until sprouts are heated through.
