Laura Lewis
Laura Lewis, change expert and host of Empty Nesters on Veria TV, has more than 20 years of experience in fitness and nutrition, and has dedicated her life to motivating individuals all over the world to live better lives by teaching them to take control of nutrition, health, and lifestyle issues and to generate lasting positive change within their lives.
Laura was the executive director of a destination spa as well as several fitness centers. She owned and operated one of the first mind-body fitness studios in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, and presented at International Dance Exercise Association (IDEA) symposiums. She was one of the first ACE-certified fitness instructors in the United States, offering one of the most progressive and toughest workouts in Dallas.
Laura holds a B.S. in Food and Nutrition, is a member of IDEA, and is a wellness coach currently completing her certification under the American College of Sports Medicine endorsed Wellcoaches program. She is also the Official Life Coach for the Mrs. Texas United States organization.
President of Laura Lewis Enterprises, LLC, Laura has an extensive background as a television and radio host and award-winning executive producer, and has been a popular guest on numerous television and radio shows, appearing on media venues including: The TV Food Network; The Discovery Channel; The Healthy Living Channel; Fox & Friends, Fox 8 WJW in Cleveland; NBC's WBAL in Baltimore; the Los Angeles' CW station KTLA; Sacramento & Co on ABC News 10, Dallas on CBS 11 Evening News, Belo; WB, The Talk Radio Network, Success Talk Radio, the Talk America Network and hundreds of radio and television shows across the nation. Laura is also a featured expert on several of Montel Williams new Living Well with Montel televisions shows slated to debut in the Fall of 2009 worldwide.
A twice-published author, she most recently wrote "52 Ways to a Healthy You," which provides hundreds of informative tips, resources, and facts that offer a handy, fun-to-read encyclopedia of wellness knowledge. She has several books on the horizon focusing on women's health in body, mind, relationships and more, as well as plans for a number of international endeavors this mediacentric woman never slows down!
Having been a spokesperson for various health-oriented companies, Laura is also a popular motivational speaker. She presents life-enhancement seminars and workshops that deal with change and overcoming adversity as well as health and wellness.
She is featured on the Veria Television network with her segment entitled To a Healthy You, seen on the show Simply Beautiful. In addition to her numerous professional accomplishments, she is the proud single and self-proclaimed supermom of Tarah, 20, Victoria, 17, and Baron, age 10.
Laura sees herself as a 21st century woman who can be a beacon of knowledge, inspiration, hope, and happiness for women everywhere. When she's not busy inspiring others, she enjoys traveling, reading, writing, working out, dancing and having fun investigating new horizons as an Empty Nester.Roni Proter
Roni Proter began her broadcasting career in a small Texas town as a news reporter for an NBC affiliate where she shot, wrote and edited her own stories.
Roni continued TV reporting and anchoring for several news stations, including some within the Dallas market, covering a variety of stories, breaking news and in-depth features. Roni then began hosting and producing Metroscene TV, an urban lifestyle show highlighting downtown living and culture.
Roni's new show, "Simply Beautiful," allows her to use her previous journalism skills to uncover the secrets to natural beauty. Her fascination and passion for the subject were sparked during college, when she taught yoga and kickboxing. Teaching others and continuing her own education have helped Roni make fitness and health an integral part of who she is. On "Simply Beautiful," her quest is to find natural beauty through emerging products, earth-friendly fashions and an active, healthy lifestyle. The show aired nationally in spring 2007 on Veria TV.
When she's not working, Roni can usually be found in her kitchen, cooking! She also enjoys traveling, exercising and writing.
