Born in a small town in Indiana, Bree Pavey traveled the country with her family as a child. One of her favorite childhood memories is seeing "The Wiz" on Broadway with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross. Her family often tells her that is where her love of performance began, as she danced in the aisle to Ease on Down the Road.
The oldest of four children, Bree grew up primarily in Chicago. Since her early childhood, Bree has been performing. The importance of a strong education was heavily emphasized in her family, influencing Bree to earn bachelor's degrees in philosophy and sociology along with a juris doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School. She practiced criminal and family law for six years in Chicago before heading to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment.
Even as a lawyer, Bree was involved in the educational aspects of practice by writing and lecturing for the National Business Institute and Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education as well as by coaching mock trial at Eastern Illinois University. All the while, Bree was also heavily involved in theater.
Bree's family watched for years as she struggled to balance the rational life of a lawyer with the risky life of an actor. She frequently commented that she had the best of both worlds: a steady paycheck and the ability to perform. It was her mom who decided she needed a slight push into unfamiliar territory. For a birthday gift in 2003, Bree's parents offered to pay for classes at the esteemed Second City in Chicago. This would be her first acting class. It would also be the first step toward declaring acting as a profession. Bree graduated from the Acting and Scene Study program at Second City Chicago in 2004. She has since starred in countless radio commercials and has appeared in numerous short films.
Bree moved to Los Angeles in February 2005 to explore film and television. She has appeared on stage in Neil Simon's "California Suite," "Steel Magnolias," "Wait Until Dark," and "Noises Off!" among many others. She has appeared in commercials, including a national campaign for Overstock.com.
Bree also starred in Resurrection Mary, an award-winning horror film from director Michael Lansu. Her voice has been heard in countless radio commercials, and she has also appeared in numerous short films, including a PSA short produced by Doug Liman. She has also had the fortune of appearing in three pilot television projects, one of which was directed by Gerry Cohen.
Bree is currently working as the host of Feng Shui Living, a new alternative health program for the Veria network.
