Calendula Food Allergy Syrup
If you suffer from food allergies, herbalist Amanda Crawford suggests a daily dose of syrup. And tailor the recipe to your needs -- depending on your symptoms and tastes, you can mix or match herbs from any of the following seven essential categories: Moisture producing, alterative, gastrointestinal tract repair, allergy response decreasing, improvement of liver function and stomach acid, improved gall bladder function and stomach acid, and anti-inflammatories. The herbs, which include calendula, ginger root, peppermint, and chamomile, among others, can be boiled into a syrup that will last for two months in the refrigerator.
