Performers with Disabilities
Actual Lives Austin is a theater collective of men and women working to share and perform their stories in the public space. Its members suffer from illnesses like spina bifida, paralysis, and cerebral palsy, but as performers, they avoid the clichés of Heartwarming Tales of Disability Overcome. Instead, the singers, actors and comedians focus on entertaining original storytelling, told from each troupe member's unique perspective.
