Volcano Cakes

The Sweet Truth

Volcano Cakes

Hosted by Kelly Keough

Kelly Keough
These Voluptuous Volcano cakes are gooey, chocolate-y, and sugar addict-safe.   Kelly starts by sifting her dry ingredients together, combining all purpose gluten-free flours with extra tapioca starch. The wet ingredients, which she prepares in a mixer, include, omega 3 eggs, Swerve, dark chocolate stevia, and unsweetened dark chocolate, and finally a healthy dollop of melted gluten-free chocolate chips. After 13 minutes in the oven,   Kelly has rich cake that explodes in your mouth like a volcano. Hint: The best thing about using baby ramekins to prepare your Volcano Cakes is that they help with portion control.

I love your show! I am not fond of stevia but I am trying to like it! I had no idea that it came in flavors so I will try it. I have a question although this may not be the form in which to ask. However, are products like Truevia and Purevia a viable Stevia product? I really have enjoyed both of them as they have no after taste for my body chemistry. I have a feeling our body chemistry plays a huge role in how we perceive taste. For example, papaya tastes like a strong liquid medication in my mouth. And, grapefruit, unless white, leaves a very nasty after taste in my mouth, so bitter that it stays with me for hours. Just wondering. Agin, LOVE your show! I am working on going vegan this next year and have been gradually changing my diet. losing 4 dress sizes without even trying, just changing my eating habits. Watching your show gives me the opportunity to try foods I thought I could never eat again as a Type II Diabetic. I would like to try the banana pancakes and the peanut butter waffles! I'm going to try and use almond butter though. YUM! Hope it works!
