I have heard green tea can help with weight loss, 3-4 cups a day is usually recommended.

Green tea is good for you, but it's meant to flush your system. So you may dehydrate yourself if you're not careful. Just be sure to drink water as well.

High protein breakfast, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, don't snack between meals, period. See how that works.

what about deep cleanse teas? Do they have any value? I think exercise of a productive nature needs to be mentioned in the same breath...

The science behind snacking is just so fundamental -- if you keep your blood glucose up by eating at short intervals, your body never needs to utilize fat (i.e. fat burning) as a source of energy. Plain and simple.

I have been a practitioner of the five small meal day for years. I have found it works really well for keeping me at the weight I want.

as for coffee and tea -- I think they act as appetite suppressants.

I heard that caffeine stimulates the pancreas to produce insulin, which can lead to unhealthy cravings.

Hmm... How about just a lot of fiber? I eat Kashi Go Lean cereal for breakfast and I'm not hungry for hours.

isn't a glass of water before a meal supposed to suppress appetite and aid digestion?

Does anyone know any thing about 3 ballerina tea? I heard it was a good dieters tea.

"Ballerina" tea is actually a type of green tea. Its active ingredients are Senna and Chinese Mallow. Senna works as a laxative, and Chinese Mallow acts as a diuretic. These reduce water content from the body, but not fat.

Bad idea; too much caffeine is bad for you. For one thing, it leeches calcium out of your bones...

Obviously, liquids will fill you up. You should also drink good, plain WATER, and not rely so much on coffee and tea.

I, myself, have lost 125 lbs. My helpful thing is atomic fireballs. LOL! They're hot but the cinnamon helps to speed my metabolism and cinnamon regulates that sugar spike you get. I still have about 40 more lbs to lose but I will! Good luck to all!

I'm also about to start the P90X workout system. It's pretty thorough... it has everything from yoga to hardcore aerobics. You never get bored and neither does your body.
