05/13/2009 | 12:00 AM
Each morning practice this 10-minute breathing exercise to cool your body in warm temperatures. The right nostril breathing stimulates the metabolism and increases the body's temperature. (Note: it should not be done in the winter.)
1. Sit on a chair or cross-legged on the carpet, keeping your neck and spine erect.
2. Press your right nostril closed with the thumb of your right hand.
3. Inhale slowly through your left nostril, filling your lungs to maximum capacity.
4. Exhale slowly through your left nostril.
5. Repeat at least twenty times.
